The story contains a lot of nostalgia about Denver some 50+ years ago. It is a strange premise.

2 1/2 stars - not awful but certainly not great. The action takes place in 2 time settings and it's unclear generally how far apart in time these are - the author seemed to infer that they were in fact only months apart, but given some of…

This book has love and sorrow, adversity and survival, a woman looking for the best parts of her life. I enjoyed the 60's time period and the familiar Denver setting while the main character tries to figure what is real and what she wants…

Recently reread "The Bookseller" and it was just as good the second time around. Loved the characters and trying to figure out which life was the real life.

So I was wandering through the library stacks and I spotted a novel called The Bookseller by Cynthia Swanson and since I am a fan of books about book stores I thought that I would give it a try. And was I glad that I did. Well written with…

I grabbed this book off the shelf on speculation. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this story...I wasn't able to put it down, and I read it all in one day. I highly recommend this story!

A stellar start for a new author of which I will be most assuredly and avidly following! Hooking me in with the first line I fell into her words and by the end of the 1st chapter I looked at the fly leaf again and realized it was her…

Interesting construction and brave attempt for a first novel. The novel starts off with a premise that becomes untrue (I won't spoil it for you) the further you read into the story; different readers will hit the turning point at…

What a great book. It became hard to know what was reality and what was the dream. Well written and fun to read.

Very disappointing! The plot had such potential but became hard to follow. I have three unanswered questions that perhaps another reader can answer. Did the narrator suffer some kind of breakdown that kept her between her two worlds? Did…
