I'm trying to get through it, but I'm not a fan of stream-of-consciousness style writing. It's tough going.

The book reads exactly like the Netflix series. It’s rare that a series / movie follows the book; but this time, it did.

I recommend this book because there is something always happening and the way the main characters emotions and thoughts are explained are super interesting and entertaining. I don't get bored reading this book and the author makes you want…

I have not seen the Netflix series, but I imagine it's better on TV than the book, in this case. The reason is the second person writing. I did not read the book, I read the excerpt. Is the whole book written in second person? If so, I'll…

I read this book after watching its series of films in Netflix which are quite intriguing. Congratulations to the film crew who has made it more interesting.

One of the first thinks that went through my mind was "This book was clearly written by a woman." It takes so many of the specific casual fears and views a woman has and turns them around into reasons for obsessive and "protective"…

The show was surprisingly faithful to the book! I found TV show Joe was a lot more sympathetic than Book Joe. That being said, I'm kind of mad that I was rooting for a serial killer the whole time.

I heard about the series long before I knew it was a book. (but I mean, of course it was a book first) It didn't appeal to me. Women deal with more than our fair share of psychos and sociopaths on the daily why read a book that puts you…

creepy, lures you in with just probable enough understanding of a stalker mindset.

3 1/2 - 4 stars. I finished this thriller last night and I am still trying to decide how to rate the book and how to describe how I feel about it. It's a thriller about a serial killer/stalker written from the stalker's point of view. …

Joe is working at a bookstore when one day in walks the smart and beautiful Beck, the girl of his dreams. He is immediately obsessed with her and pursues her, and not in what you would call a normal fashion. Joe is not your average guy and…

Highly recommended reading if you're a fan of the TV show like me. The show did change some things, so it's interesting if you like spotting the differences. You will cringe when you dive into the mind of Joe.

Excellent and cleverly written. Perfect for fans of Peter Swanson. I highly recommend the Netflix series!

Intriguing psychological thriller told from the villain's point of view. Joe is clearly evil, but I couldn't help rooting for him.

I watched the Netflix show and loved it so much that I decided to read the book. Usually that is a no-no for me but I enjoyed the show that much. However, I did not enjoy the book at all. It was really slow. I stopped reading once I got to…

As well, I tried to read 10% of the book (a Stephen King recommendation (ON WRITING)) to determine how I felt about the book, and it is just a sorry excuse for some kinda stalker book. Terrible writing; I understand there’s a tone to be…

I started this and couldn’t get through it. It is crude, crude, crude. I know we have a choice as to whether to pollute our minds with this vulgarity or not, and I chose not.

This book was interesting. I mean interesting in the way that I don’t know if I liked it or if I didn’t. There were some parts that I found myself getting bored, and wanted to skip over it. The part I find interesting the book reveals how…

Well I think I enjoyed this. It’s definitely not my cup of tea, but it was interesting. Joe’s perspective is just... something. He’s messed up. It was well written, and only had one part where it was kind of losing me for a bit. I did find…

Creepy, unpleasant, and darkly comedic. For those who enjoy books with unsympathetic characters behaving badly. Also for those who will find some humor in the literary references and somewhat satiric approach to MFA/literary snob culture.

At no point did anything in this book feel authentic. The thoughts and emotions of the male always felt like a female's interpretation of how a male might think and feel. The whole thing felt like a girly horror story, a low-rent updated…

You by Caroline Kepnes is a thriller story about an obsessive stalker who poses as a Manhattan bookstore employee but is really living as a predator, hunting and tracking his victim. The book is unusual in that it is told entirely from…
