The format of this book does not allow a different size type in Libby. It is very small. Too small for me. I returned it for a different format. Usually Libby and Kindle both allow different type sizes and typefaces, but not this one.

Absolutely mind-blowing. I was 3/4 of the way through feeling like "I probably know who it is, she thinks she's being subtle but it's not..." NEVER HAVE I BEEN SO WRONG.

"It's a thrilling whodunnit novel that will keep you guessing until the end." - Lori G.

I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery! Another reviewer assured us that we would never guess the murderer. Never ever ever. So, I was rather pleased with myself when I DID know who the murderer was before it was revealed. The only thing I…

Hailed as one of her best titles, Agatha Christie’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is fantastically written and will keep you on your toes. Every puzzle and twist is well executed. It truly raised the standard for the crime fiction genre.

This book was probably what made me interested in Agatha Christie books. There was a lot of sophisticated writing, and it was so unlike other mystery books I had read. While the first few chapters may be a little slow, you get pulled in…

A solid and classic detective story filled with the usual red herrings, interrogations and clue-searching you've come to expect. Agatha Christie has her formula down, yet this Poirot adventure does not feel any less exciting.

A good mystery. I found the list of character names at the beginning most helpful as it seemed that there were a lot of names being dropped, but we never met some of those characters for long, so I wasn't always sure who was who.

My mother commented to me that this was her favorite Agatha Christie book so I borrowed a copy from the library so we could discuss it. I had a fleeting inkling who was the killer as the story progressed but dismissed it and was surprised…

This is one of Agatha Christie's books that I figured out "who did it" right at the start.

An Agatha Christie mystery featuring Hercule Poirot, set after his retirement from detective work. The mystery around the death of Roger Ackroyd intriguing, but personally felt the revelations around the end to undercut the rest of the…

Hallmark Channel interjects past mystery writers in the Mystery 101 series. A past episode briefly mentioned whodunit in Agatha Christie’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. So, I searched for clues throughout my reading of Agatha Christie’s…

This mystery has more twists than Lombard Street in San Francisco. The murderer makes the mistake of thinking that s/he can outwit the famed detective, Hercule Poirot. Not a chance, but the path to the truth is a great read.

No matter how much you carefully follow and analyze the motives and behaviors of suspects you will NEVER be able to guess the name of the true villain. So take off your thinking cap and enjoy the story. I am not a fan, though, of being…

This is the third Hercule Poirot full length novel that was first published in 1926. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd appears on many "best mystery novels of all time" lists. This mystery does not disappoint. It features a murder in a room…

This novel is astounding. I was not in the least surprised to find that this work was not only incredibly riveting, but also very intriguing. I had a blast attempting to discover "who dun it" whilst the focus of Detective Hercule Poirot…

This is one of the "must read" Christies. Of course, the less I say the more you'll enjoy it. I remember hearing readers were actually angry about this book when it was first published.

This Collins English Readers series edition, with CD audio recording, has shortened "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" to 97 pages. It provides a list of characters, a glossary of unfamiliar words, and notes on the English culture of early…

Excellent mystery, riveting from the outset. This Poirot mystery had me guessing to the very ending. As always with Hercule Poirot, there is plenty of "grey cell" work interspersed with the utmost in discretion, along with a sprinkling of…

Brilliantly written. Wonderful. In true Agatha Christie fashion, the ending takes you completely by surprise. Whatever you do, DON'T let anyone spoil it. Might be worth a reread, though, to see what hints you missed. :)

Brilliantly written; highly entertaining. The Queen of Mystery does it again. One of her top 10 best, and rightly so.

Listened to the audio. This was excruciating slow, and then the Murderer was a huge disappointment. Save your time and read something else.
